We are locally owned and operated. Our stock is vast and ever-growing. Sales and special events are going on all the time, and you can get a feeling for what is coming on the events page. We do not buy books! A glance in our store will show you that we are in need of storage space more than adding to our collection. We do take trade-ins for credit, and we essentially keep our records forever, so your credit will still be good.

The truth is that even significant collections of ordinary books distort space. Which is proved by anyone who has been around an old-fashioned secondhand bookshop, one that looks as though they were designed by M. Escher on a bad day and has more stairways than stories and those rows of shelves which end in little doors that are surely too small for a full-sized human to enter. The relevant equation is Knowledge = power = energy = matter = mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read.
